Mamad Ahangari

About Me

I am a Senior Scientist at Herasight, where I work on developing genomic technologies for embryo analysis and selection. Some of our publications can be found found here and here.

Prior to that, I worked at Gencove as a Statistical Geneticist, focusing on large-scale genomic data processing and imputation pipelines.

I also have experience in academia, having worked in the Sebat Lab at UC San Diego, where I collaborated across major international consortia including the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium (PGC), Genes to Mental Health (G2MH), SPARK/Simons Searchlight.

My educational background is in Pharmacology (BSc and MSc), and I earned my PhD in Statistical Genetics from the Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics (VIPBG), where my research focused on the genetics of schizophrenia. You can read my publications here.

My broader interests outside genetics include late antiquity history, motorcycles, and the decentralized intelligence system Bittensor (τ).
